Emma Hamilton is a doctoral candidate in counseling psychology at the University of Texas at Austin. Her research focuses primarily on stigma and the collateral consequences of current sex offender registration policies. She is currently conducting a statewide study of deregistration outcomes in Texas in order to inform and improve the current deregistration protocol. Her clinical work similarly focuses on working with offender populations, and she plans on pursuing a career in forensic psychology after graduate school.
