Very special thanks to TCLDA outgoing president, Bill Harris (Fort Worth). Because of Bill, TCLDA is a stronger, more active, and robust organization. Thanks to his leadership, TCDLA ‘s current membership is 3,100 and growing, he has successfully provided high quality CLE to over 5,000 lawyers in the past 12 months, and lobbied for a successful Texas Legislative Session. TCDLA wished Bill the best as he now moves into his new role as a past president.

A very special thanks to our course directors, Bob Hinton (Dallas), Lance Evans (Fort Worth), and Grant Scheiner (Houston) for this year’s 24th Annual Rusty Duncan Advanced Criminal Law Course held in San Antonio June 9–11. These three lawyers have spent many hours over the last year preparing for this year’s major production. Thanks to their dedication and effort, we had 805 attendees. Thanks to our 32 speakers who spoke at this year’s event.

Special thanks to our course directors, John Donahue, David Moore, and Stanley Schwieger, who had 148 attendees in Waco on April 8, and course directors David Moore and Kelly Pace, who had 52 attendees in Tyler on April 15 for our CDLP seminar “Trial Tactics: The Art of War.”

Special thanks to the San Antonio Bar—Justice Phylis Speedlin, president, and Jimmy Ellison, executive director—for allowing TCDLA/CDLP to co-sponsor the 48th Annual Criminal Law Institute held in San Antonio March 25–26. They had 293 attendees. This is the oldest CLE event in Texas.
